Advanced Practice Nurse – Educator
Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC) – Kuwait City, Kuwait

University Health Network (UHN), Princess Margaret Hospital, located in Toronto, Canada, is recruiting for an Advanced Practice Nurse – Educator (APN-E) to work at the Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC) in Kuwait City, Kuwait.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a salient member of the inter-professional UHN-Kuwait leadership team, partnering with the KCCC leadership team in transforming cancer care for the Kuwaiti population. The APN-E will be appointed and permanently stationed in Kuwait for up to 4 years to assist with enhancing specialty oncology nursing education programs. This position will report to the Director of Nursing at Princess Margaret Hospital and to the Director, Clinical Operations, International Program, Kuwait Cancer Control Center. Your responsibilities will focus on oncology nursing education and staff development, multi-professional collaboration, research utilization and change management.

As an Advanced Practice Nurse Educator (APN-E) at KCCC, you will:

  • Participate in the creation of a preferred future for nursing education and professional practice with the cultural context of KCCC
  • Work in collaboration with others to assess learning needs, and develop, design, deliver and evaluate nursing education programs
  • Contribute to the scholarship of teaching, discovery, application and integration of knowledge through nursing research utilization.

The Advanced Practice Nurse Educator we seek will have an impressive profile that includes:

  • A graduate degree in Nursing or Education or a recognized equivalent preferred
  • 3 years of practical, related experience
  • Theoretical and practical experience in adult education, including educational program planning, development and evaluation
  • Preferably, completion of specialty-specific certification program(s) relevant to Oncology Nursing
  • Current certificate of licensure/registration
  • Preferably, current membership in a related professional interest group or association
  • 3 years of experience in oncology nursing
  • Excellent leadership, prioritization, presentation, program planning and teaching experience
  • Excellent professional nursing knowledge and skills
  • Ability to adapt, build trust, provide coaching and collaboration, and facilitate change and continuous improvement
