Call For Abstracts and Sessions


  

SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT OR INSTRUCTIONAL SESSION

 

The International Society for Nurses in Cancer Care (ISNCC) invites all oncology nursing professionals to submit an abstract and/or instructional session for presentation at the International Conference on Cancer Nursing (ICCN) 2017.  ISNCC  is pleased to announce that the deadline for submission has been extended to January 23, 2017, 3:00pm North American Eastern Time. The theme for ICCN 2017 is 'Merging Research and Practice Across the Globe’. 

 

Abstract submission is now closed. Notifications will be sent out in early March

 

All abstracts and/or instructional sessions must be submitted via the official online submission system. Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.

Accepted abstracts will be published in Cancer Nursing as an Abstract Supplement this year. Please ensure the content of your abstract submission is accurate prior to submitting.  Instructional sessions will not be published in the Abstract Supplement. Please note that only abstracts that are presented at ICCN 2017 will be published in the Abstract Supplement.

Abstracts and instructional sessions should be submitted only if the author(s) intend(s) to attend the meeting and present if accepted. 

 Submission limit: maximum of two submissions per author, addressing different topics (regardless of presentation type)

 

Instructional Sessions - Presentation Format:

  • An 80 minute session with 2-3 presenters on a unified topic meant to instruct others.

Instructional session submissions must show relevance to the conference theme.


Abstracts - Presentation Formats:
  • Oral Presentation: A 15-minute oral presentation by the author(s) plus 5 minutes for questions (20 minutes total).

  • Rapid Fire Presentation: A 5-minute oral presentation using no more than 3 PowerPoint slides in total.  Questions will be answered during the question time at the end of the session.

  • Poster Presentation: A visual poster display. Author(s) must be present. Designated poster session times will be listed in the Conference Program. Presenting authors will be required to stand by their posters during listed time(s).
