Knowledge Development and Dissemination Committee
The purpose of the Knowledge Development and Dissemination Committee is to:

  • Support international organizations by acting as a valuable international resource of cancer nurses to advise them on cancer nursing and the nurse's role in cancer care
  • Serve as a link for other international, regional, national and local organizations in promoting collaboration to achieve ISNCC's goals
  • Ensure optimal education and practice opportunities through ISNCC in a culturally sensitive way

The functions of the Knowledge Development and Dissemination Committee are to:

  1. Improve the utilization of the website as a point of access for nurses to educational materials.
  2. Continue to utilize the International Conference on Cancer Nursing as a vehicle for access to education, use of evidence in practice and dissemination of research.
  3. Develop partnerships that promote access to existing resource materials to a wider network of nurses.
  4. Identify gaps in educational preparation and develop projects to address these gaps.
  5. Examine the policy documents of key international organisations involved in cancer and health policy related to cancer to identify opportunities to promote the role of nurses in achievement of policy objectives.
  6. Develop policy materials targeting key messages about cancer and the nurses role in cancer that can be used by our members to promote the nurse’s role locally.
  7. Engage in global cancer control campaigns and support the involvement of our members in national and local campaigns related to cancer.
  8. Develop international position statements on key cancer issues and provide guidelines on the use of these position statements.
