Opportunity: Cancer Center Nursing Director


Reporting directly to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and to the Hematology/Oncology and Radiation Oncology Section Chiefs, you will direct Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic cancer nurses in providing nursing care to patients within outpatient areas on the Lebanon Campus, and collaborate with all Norris Cotton Cancer Center (NCCC) regional sites to standardize nursing practice, education, training, and operations. You will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care standards as guided by patient outcomes and Dartmouth Hitchcock’s and NCCC’s mission, vision and goals. Other responsibilities include facilitating nurse participation in research and educational efforts; encouraging and supporting national oncology certification per the Oncology Nursing Society; ensuring that nursing services are coordinated and integrated across cancer center programs; serving as a problem-solving liaison; and facilitating respectful and productive multidisciplinary collaborations. Other areas of responsibility include workforce strategy development, budget planning, administrative leadership, and peer mentorship. The Director will be a resource to colleagues within local, regional, national, and international arenas. Requirements include a Master’s degree and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of NH. Strong leadership skills and experience are essential. DNP and four years of hematology/oncology clinical experience preferred.
