Palestine
I am an Oncology and Palliative Care Nurse working at the Oncology and Hematology Department of Beit Jala Governmental Hospital, under the Palestinian Ministry of Health. I also serve as a Lecturer and Clinical Instructor in several Nursing Faculties across Palestinian universities. Since 2007, I have worked in nursing within the Ministry of Health and in other specialized hospitals, gaining extensive experience in oncology, critical care, and palliative care.
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Health, Wellbeing and Bioethics at Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid, Spain, focusing on advancing oncology and palliative care practices, improving patient wellbeing, and promoting ethical standards in clinical decision-making and nursing leadership. I have also gained international professional experience in Glasgow, Scotland, which enriched my expertise in evidence-based cancer care and global health.
As a Palestinian nurse, my mission is to enhance oncology and palliative care nursing through education, research, and advocacy. I am deeply committed to improving the quality of life for cancer patients many of whom are diagnosed at advanced stages—and to developing accessible, compassionate, and high-quality care services in low-resource settings.
I live by the highest standards of moral character, empathy, and professionalism. With integrity, dedication, and enthusiasm, I strive to lead positive change, empower nurses, and contribute to the advancement of healthcare systems locally and internationally.
