Who We are


Who Are We?

    • The International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care (ISNCC) is an international membership organization of oncology nurse leaders dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people at risk for or living with cancer, promoting the nurse's role in improving cancer care, and developing nursing leadership in cancer care delivery.
    • ISNCC was established in 1984 with a vision to lead the global nursing community in cancer control and a mission to maximize the influence of nursing to reduce the global burden of cancer.

What We Believe

    • Our mission is to maximize the influence of nursing to reduce the global burden of cancer.
    • We envision leading the global nursing community in cancer control.
    • Our values are excellence, equity and integrity
    • We should all be working towards improving the health and well-being of people at risk for, or living with cancer.
    • We promote nurse's roles in improving cancer care.
    • We will develop you into a better leader in cancer care delivery. Our Society supports the development of current and emerging cancer nurses around the world.


2026-2029 Strategic Plan

ISNCC has a strong history of developing international leaders in cancer nursing. ISNCC enables nurses across the globe to build capacity within the cancer nursing community and influence cancer care and cancer control organizations and health policy. The 2026-2029 ISNCC Strategic Plan also focuses on the leadership, engagement and development of nurses across the world as essential health care providers in cancer prevention, control and care.

The Strategic Directions & Actions for 2026-2029 are:

    • Build and strengthen global nursing leadership in cancer control and care
    • Enhance educational and resources outreach
    • Advocate for nursing in cancer prevention, control and care
    • Leverage technology to reach stakeholders and enhance their engagement with the organization.
    • Strengthen global partnerships (including international health organizations, regional Oncology nursing societies, members and global citizens)
    • Diversify funding sources and enhance financial sustainability
